More than merely surviving.
Posting American Idol performances is not something I'd normally do, but I fear that many of you have written it off, which I understand. But every now and then, a phenomenally talented star will be a guest and take the stage and remind you how awesome he or she truly is. Annie Lennox singing Jimmy Cliff's "Many Rivers to Cross" (from the "Idol Gives Back" spiel) simply blew me away. And to think I almost chose not to set the DVR!

Thanks for posting this! I don't watch TV, so I would have missed it entirely. This really is a great version.
This was nice ...
I am also with out Tv & would have missed as well
Annie Lennox is simply incredible
Most of the time I'm inoculated from "AI" but this sort of thing makes me wish I'd seen it live. Great to see Annie Lennox back in top form and moving on from the bad year she had in 2007 (remember the MySpace house disaster?).
BTW, my roommate's guitar amplifier was once used by Bo Bice.
I echo the comments thanking you for posting this. I started watching the show but bailed before Annie performed. She is a fabulous class act and this performance is wonderful.
Thank you! This is fantastic. She looks great & sounds better.
Wow. Makes the hairs on my neck stand up. Very few performances can do that.
