Funny, I didn't realize how much I needed a JAMC cover that sounds like it's being played by Rob Lowe's character in St. Elmo's Fire until it presented itself to me. How I lived this long without it is beyond me. The album from whence it comes, Terry Edwards Presents the birth of the Scapegoats* is chock-full of weirdo sax covers, such as a Napalm Death medley, among others. This is one of my favorite songs in the world competently covered by indie chamber popsters Matt Pond PA on their album Winter Songs, which also features decent covers of Neil Young's "Winterlong," Richard Thompson's "I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight" and a strange somber cover of the Lindsey Buckingham-penned "Holiday Road."
